Playing CDs
General Information
The system can play back audio CD discs and MP3/WMA CD discs.
Risk of injury
The internal CD player is a Class 1 laser product. It contains an invisible laser
beam that may be potentially hazardous to humans. The CD player may only
be used according to the enclosed instructions.
Never open the cover panel of the Radio with Navigation.
Never perform repairs yourself.
Repairs and maintenance must only be performed by trained
professionals.
Risks for the device
Do not insert CD discs with a diameter of 8 cm or deformed CD discs into
the CD player.
Do not apply stickers onto the CD discs. Such discs could get caught in the
CD drive and damage it. In which case it would be necessary to purchase
an expensive replacement device.
Dirt and fluids on CD discs can smear the lens on the audio player inside
the device and cause damage.

The following CD formats are supported:
CD MODE
CD-R
CD-RW
The following file formats are supported:
ISO9660 level 1, level 2, (Romeo, Joliet)
Playlists with the following extensions are supported: ".m3u", ".pls", ".wpl".
It is possible that MP3 and WMA files written in other than the above formats will
not be played back correctly. In addition, it is possible that their file and folder
names are not shown correctly.
Audio CD discs with copy protection that are not compatible with the audio CD
standard may not play back properly or at all.
