DF Fan Assembly Instructions
Total assembly time = Approximately 5 minutes
Parts Included with fan:
1. Motor 5. 4 Nylock nuts
2. 3-wing fan blade 6. 1 Bolt
3. 2 fan guards 7. 1 Kep nut
4. 4 washers 8. Hanging mount
Tools Needed for Assembly:
1. Flat head screwdriver
2. 9/16" combination wrench
3. 3/8" drive ratchet w/extension bar and 3/8" 12 pt. deep socket
4. Torque wrench set at 150 inch-lbs.
Step #1
Place motor on flat surface.
Step #2
Place back guard on motor so loops set
down on motor stud bolts.
Step #6
Fasten blade to shaft using a
torque wrench, extension bar and
3/8" 12 pt. deep socket.
Torque set screws to 150 inch-lbs.
Step #9
Attach hanging mount to motor
yoke using the 3/8" x 1" bolt and
3/8" kep nut provided.
Step #8
Using a large flathead screwdriver,
gently pry the outer ring of one guard
over the guard with the hooks as
pictured above.
Step #4
Fasten nylock nuts securely
using ratchet, extension bar and
3/8" deep socket.
Step #3
Place a washer and nylock nut on
each stud bolt.
Step #7
Place front guard directly over back
guard, trying to connect the front
guard to at least four of the hooks
on the back guard.
Front guard should be attached so
label is upright when fan is hung.
Step #5
Place fan blade on shaft so 5/8" of shaft
extends past outer rim of hub on blade.
Align blade so the two set screws will
make contact with the two flat edges on
the motor shaft when tightened.
