DESCRIPTION
Schaefer's oscillating circulation fans have OSHA-approved basket style guards. The durable, totally enclosed
motors are maintenance free and energy efficient. These fans come equipped with two-speed pull chain and
10' long 115 volt grounded cord. These models can be mounted to a pedestal, or wall mount to provide a
45° or 90° coverage sweep.
UNPACKING YOUR FAN
• Visually inspect the unit for any damage that may have occurred during shipping.
• Contact your shipper immediately if any damage is found.
INSTALLING YOUR FAN
Schaefer offers a variety of wall mounts and pedestal mounts for installing your fan. Fan mount must be
installed on a support structure strong enough for the added weight of the mount and fan assembly. The
customer is responsible for determining that their structure is adequate to support these loads.
1. The fan must be mounted so the oscillating mechanism (oscillator
base, linkage arm, etc.) is down.
2. Set the “Sweep” for 90° or 45° by securing the linkage arm to
the eccentric hub using the appropriate threaded hole. The fan is
shipped factory-assembled for 90°. To change the sweep to 45°,
remove the bolt from the outside threaded hole and reattach using
the inside threaded hole.
Note: The connecting bolt and threaded holes have left-hand threads.
3. Be sure there are no restrictions or obstructions to the full range of
oscillation.
4. Oscillator Drive Knob: Pull the knob up to disengage the drive, push
the knob down to engage the drive.
5. Pull the chain switch to start the fan motor. The sequence for the 2-speed chain switch is as follows:
a. OFF b. ON: low speed c. OFF d. ON: high speed
