1 Watch the installation video.

2 Prepare for installation.

Packaging may vary. Prepare the lock to ease installation.
If not already attached:
2a Exterior chassis: attach trim.

has posts.

2b Exterior chassis:
attach knob/lever.
Push knob/
lever onto
chassis.
Then tighten
set screw
until ush.
If already attached:
2c Interior chassis:
Loosen set screw to
remove knob/lever and
trim.
3 Check door dimensions.
If dimensions do
not match, go to
Schlage.com/
faqs-custom.
4 Check latch length.
Measure your door as shown.
If the measurement is 2 3/8, no adjustment is
necessary. If the measurement is 2 3/4, see the
Adjust latch section.
5 Install the latch.
5a Install backplate and faceplate. 5a Install drive-in faceplate.
Push to snap.
5b Secure with screws.
Bevel must face

6 PRIVACY FUNCTION ONLY: Choose privacy pin location.
Pin on bottom, go on to step 7.

7 Install the exterior chassis.
Push rmly!

8 Install the interior chassis.
8a Chassis is spring-loaded. Push against door and
hold in place.
8b Secure with two (2) screws.
Hold in place!

9 Install the interior trim.

10 PRIVACY FUNCTION ONLY: Install the privacy pin.
10a Push in until CLICK.

If not installing now, keep pin
and emergency unlock tool
for future use! Simply
installing the pin changes the
function.
11 Install the interior knob/lever.
11a Push knob/lever rmly into place. 11b Then tighten set screw.
12 Install the strike onto the door frame.

Use included strike for best
performance.
Change levers
Loosen set screw, but do not remove. Pull lever off.
Reinstall appropriately. Then tighten set screw.
Adjust latch
For 2 3/4" thick door, rotate and pull latch
out to long setting.
Emergency unlock
Push emergency unlock tool into hole on
exterior until privacy pin pops out on
interior.
Loosen
set screw.
Remove and
discard spacer.
2 1/8" (54 mm) hole
2 3/8" or 2 3/4" (60mm or
70mm)
