3.6.2 Configuration
The configuration of a point-to-multipoint system includes the following steps:
Configure the plug-in for multipoint operation: Monitor command LTUMODE 5.
This command configures four single-pair systems on the plug-in and sets the
DSL Master mode (STU-C) on all DSL interfaces.
E1 interface configuration: the E1 interfaces have to work in framed mode
(Monitor command G704 ON). When CRC4 multiframes are used, CRC4 and
E-Bit insertion have to be switched on.
E1 timeslot mapping: associates timeslots from the E1 interfaces with DSL
links. Each timeslot of an E1 interface can be associated with one DSL link.
DSL timeslot mapping: for each DSL link its associated E1 timeslots must be
mapped to physical bearer channels (B-channels).
