NOTICE
DAMAGE FROM HAVING DIFFERENT CHARGER SETTINGS
Make sure that all Solar Charge Controller units and all Conext XW+ or Conext XW Pro
Inverter/Charger units in a power system setup have the same Charger Settings. For
example, if one Solar Charge Controller unit has a Battery Type of Flooded, all Solar
Charge Controller units including all Conext XW+ Inverter/Charger units must have the
same Battery Type. See Note below.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in equipment damage.
Note: If Cascading is Enabled in SCP, the charger settings will cascade to other Solar
Charge Controller devices with the same DC Associations. However they will not
cascade to other device types such as Conext XW+, Conext XWPro, Conext SW, or
Conext Battery Monitor even if they have the same DC associations. Make sure that the
charger settings are configured correctly on the other device types.
Setting a Custom Battery Type
WARNING
HAZARD OF FIRE OR EXPLOSION
Incorrect settings for specialty batteries, such as lithium ion, can cause dangerous battery
over-charging. Always connect the Battery Temperature Sensor (BTS). Custom battery
settings should be configured by qualified personnel only.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious injury, or equipment
damage.
NOTICE
EQUIPMENT DAMAGE
To avoid damaging your batteries during charging or equalization, consult your battery
manufacturer and associated documentation before setting a custom battery type.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in equipment damage.
