Installation Tools and Materials
Tools
You will need the following tools to install the Conext SW and the battery
temperature sensor.
p Wire stripper
p Crimping tools for fastening lugs and terminals on DC cables
p Phillips screwdriver: #2
p Slot screwdriver (1/4" [6mm] wide blade max.)
p Needle-nose pliers
p Wrench for DC terminals and Installation bracket: 5/16" and M6
p Power drill/driver
Materials
You will need the following materials to complete your installation:
p DC Switchgear
p Strain-relief clamp(s) for AC cables (not provided): 3/4" and/or 1"
p DC battery cables sized according to Table 1-2 on page 1–15
p Terminals and/or crimp connectors for DC cables (3/8" [9.5mm] stud size)
p AC and DC disconnect switches and overcurrent protective devices and
connectors as required. See page 1–14
p AC output and input wire. See “AC Wiring” on page 1–13
p If the AC ground wire is stranded, each ground wire requires a ring terminal
p Four M6 nuts to secure the unit to the installation bracket (supplied)
p Four #12 (or equivalent) screws or bolts to mount the installation bracket to a
non-flammable wall (see page 1–19 for definition)
p Four #10 (or equivalent) screws for securing the DC Switchgear to the
installation bracket
