This manual is for use by qualified personnel only
Network terminators
The Xanbus network must be properly terminated at each end to ensure the
communication signal quality on the network.
The Conext XW+ Inverter/Charger and other Xanbus-enabled devices ship with
one network terminator. Depending on your network layout, this terminator may
need to be removed from the XW+ Inverter/Charger and inserted into another
device elsewhere in the network.
Installing the Network
Before You Begin the Installation
• Read the entire section before installing the network. It is important to plan
the installation from beginning to end.
• Assemble all the tools and materials required for the installation.

Note: If the network is not properly terminated, signal quality is degraded and
performance on the network is reduced. Permanent configuration without
terminators is not supported.

Note: Installing and replacing Xanbus-enabled devices in an existing system
must be performed with the Conext XW+ Inverter/Charger in standby mode. For
more information about standby mode, see the
Conext System Control Panel
Owner’s Guide.
