Installing the Network

This manual is for use by qualified personnel only
Before You Begin the Installation
• Read the entire section before installing the network. It is important to plan
the installation from beginning to end.
• Assemble all the tools and materials required for the installation.
Installation Tools and Materials
Tools A Phillips head screwdriver, appropriately sized is required to install the Xanbus
cables.
Materials The following materials may be required to complete the installation.
❐ CAT 5 or CAT 5e cables (available from computer supply stores)
❐ Terminators
Installing AC sync and Xanbus cables
The AC sync cable connects each inverter and provides the necessary
communication and control between multiple units. Install these cables, routing
them through the Conext XW+ Conduit Box raceway, prior to making the AC and
DC wiring connections.
Note: Mount cables and network connectors in a dry location.
Note: If you are installing a Xanbus-enabled device on an existing Xanbus
system, put the system in standby mode using the System Settings menu on
the Conext System Control Panel.
