WARNING
HAZARD OF AMPUTATION
The Xantrex GT500 has exposed fans under a cover at the rear of the inverter
assembly. Do not remove the rear fan inlet cover unless all sources to the
inverter have been de-energized, locked out, and tagged out. Make sure the
fans are not operating before working near them or replacing them.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death or serious injury.
WARNING
HAZARD OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, EXPLOSION, FIRE, AND ARC
FLASH
In all installations, the installer must provide external disconnecting means
for the PV input, AC output, and external auxiliary AC source input wiring.
It is the installer’s responsibility to determine whether additional external
overcurrent protection is required for the PV input, AC output, and external
auxiliary AC source wiring, in accordance with the applicable installation
codes.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION
HAZARD OF BURNS
Components become hot during normal operation. Do not touch internal
components until they have had time to cool down after the Xantrex GT500
has been de-energized.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in moderate or minor injury.
CAUTION
HAZARD OF OVERHEATING
Keep the supply air and exhaust air areas unobstructed.
Follow the installation, ventilation, and clearance instructions.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in reduced power or
shutdown.
