Unloading and Moving the Xantrex GT500
Shipping List
The following items ship with the Xantrex GT500:
• Inverter assembly
• Transformer assembly
• Throat connection kit (included with the inverter assembly)
Moving the Xantrex GT500
To move the Xantrex GT500, use a forklift that has a sufficient lift capacity and
fork span, or use a crane with a sufficient lift capacity.
WARNING
HAZARD OF CRUSH INJURY AND EQUIPMENT DAMAGE
• The inverter assembly weighs approximately 2700 lbs (1225 kg). The
transformer assembly weighs approximately 4140 lbs (1878 kg). Do not lift
the equipment other than at the recommended lifting points.
• Keep all the doors closed and latched when moving the assemblies.
• Use appropriately rated lifting equipment.
• Pay attention to the balance point (center of gravity) of the assembly (see
Figure 3-3 on page 3–5 and Figure 3-4 on page 3–6).
• Do not lay the Xantrex GT500 on its side.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious injury, or
equipment damage.
WARNING
HAZARD OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, EXPLOSION, OR ARC FLASH
Do not attempt to install the Xantrex GT500 if it has been dropped or received
more than cosmetic damage during transport or shipping.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death or serious injury.
