Opening or Closing Access Doors
See Figure 3-15 on page 3–18 for the location of the door locks.
To open the transformer assembly (AC) doors:
1. Using a flat head screwdriver, turn the slot on the latch 90 degrees
clockwise.
2. Pull on the handle upwards, and then rotate the handle counterclockwise to
open.
To open the inverter assembly (DC) doors:
1. Using a flat head screwdriver, turn the slot on the latch 90 degrees
clockwise.
2. Pull the handle upwards to unlock the doors.
To close the transformer assembly (AC) doors:
1. Close the doors.
2. Rotate the handle clockwise, and then push the handle down.
To close the inverter assembly (DC) doors:
1. While holding up the handle on the door, push the door closed.
2. Push the handle down until it latches.

HAZARD OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, EXPLOSION, AND ARC FLASH
Do not open any doors or covers unless you are qualified personnel and
the Xantrex GT500 has been completely de-energized following the “Lock-
out and Tag-out Procedure” on page xi.
Do not open the cabinet doors if rain, heavy dew, or condensation is
present.
Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.
NOTICE
To help prevent contaminants like dust and moisture from entering the
assemblies, tighten all latches to seal the doors after closing.
