Schneider Electric XW-MPPT-60 User Manual

Operation
4–16 975-0400-01-01 Revision H
This manual is for use by qualified personnel only.
The Operating screen appears, indicating how much time, in minutes and
seconds, remains in the equalization process.
The solar charge controller applies the equalization charge for one hour. You can
also stop the equalization process manually.
If conditions prevent the PV array from producing enough power for the solar
charge controller to provide an equalization charge, the equalization timer
continues running. If conditions continue to make it difficult to complete a full
equalization charge, use another device, such as an inverter/charger, to perform
battery equalization.
To manually stop battery equalization:
1. From the Battery Menu screen, press Enter.
2. On the Equalize screen, select Stop.
Equalization stops, and the solar charge controller goes to either the Float or
No Float stage, depending on the charge mode selected.
Remote Power Off (RPO)
It is possible to immediately stop the operation of the Conext-MPPT60-150 solar
charge controller by adding a remote power off (RPO) switch via the Conext XW+
inverter/charger’s AUX port.
An RPO switch turns off the internal network power supply of the solar charge
controller. When activated, Xanbus devices such as the Conext XW+ inverter/
charger and the Conext-MPPT60-150 will stop all operation including solar
charging effectively transitioning the power system into a hibernate mode. To
recover from hibernate mode, completely de-energize the Conext-MPPT60-150
(disconnect PV and battery).
For information on the different modes, see “Mode” on page 3–20.
DANGER
HAZARD OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, EXPLOSION, OR ARC FLASH
Do not attempt to service, maintain, and troubleshoot the Conext-MPPT60-
150 after activating an RPO switch.
Disconnect positive and negative PV conductors before servicing. PV
conductors are to be treated as Hazardous Live and must be
disconnected.
Normally GROUNDED conductors may be UNGROUNDED and
ENERGIZED when a GROUND FAULT is indicated on the front panel. Must
be serviced by qualified personnel.
Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.
