Quick Release Levers
It is important to check the quick release levers before every ride to ensure all connecons
are made properly and securely. Periodically, disassemble the mechanism from the
bicycle and inspect for any wear or damage and replace if necessary. When reinstalling,
it is very important to ensure the connecons are made properly. (Please refer to
p. 29-30 for the appropriate assembly instrucons.)
Reectors (bicycles over 16”)
Your bicycle is supplied with one front (white), one rear (red), two wheel (white), and
four pedal (orange) reectors. These are an important safety and legal requirement,
and should remain securely ed and in good, clean condions at all mes. Periodically,
inspect all reectors, brackets and mounng hardware for signs of wear or damage.
Replace immediately if damage is found. Front and rear reectors should be adjusted
to within 5 degrees of vercal. This is measured by looking at the bicycle from the side
while it is on at ground. If the reectors are out of line, adjust as necessary and be
sure all fasteners are ght. (Fig. 4.20, 4.21)
