LubricatingtheWalkingBelt
Yourtreadmillisequippedwithalowmaintenancedeckandbeltsystem.Beltfrictioncanaffectthefunctionandlifeofthe
machine.Lubricatethebeltevery3monthsorevery50hoursofuse,whichevercomesfirst.Evenifthetreadmillisnotinuse,
siliconewilldissipateandthebeltwilldryout.Forthebestresultslubricatethedeckperiodicallywithasiliconelubricant,using
thefollowinginstructions:
1.Unplugthetreadmillfullyfromthewalloutlet,andremovethepowercordfromthemachine.
Note:Makesurethetreadmillislocatedonasurfacethatiseasytoclean.
2.Applyaverythinlayerofsiliconelubricantonthedeckbelowthebelt.Carefullyliftthebeltandapplya
fewdropsofthelubricanttheentirewidthofthebelt.
NOTICE:Alwaysuseasilicone-basedlubricant.DonotuseadegreaserlikeWD-40
®
asthiscouldseriously
impactperformance.Werecommendthatyouusethefollowing:
8300SiliconeSpray,availableatmostHardwareandAutoPartsstores.
Lube-N-Walk®TreadmillLubricationKit,availablefromyourlocalspecialtyfitnessdealer
orNautilus,Inc.
3.Connectthepowercordbackintothemachineandthenintothewalloutlet.
4.Staytoonesideofyourmachine.
5.Switchonyourmachineandstartthebeltattheslowestspeed.Letthebeltoperateforapproximately
15seconds.
6.Switchoffyourmachine.
7 .Takecaretocleanupanyexcesslubricantfromthedeck.Wealsorecommendaperiodicinspection
ofthedecksurfacebelowthebelt.Ifthedeckappearsworn,contactaNautilusRepresentative(refer
totheContactspageofthismanual).
Todecreasethepossibilityofslipping,besurethedeckareaisfreefromgreaseoroil.Cleanoffanyexcessoil
fromthemachinesurfaces.
MovingandStorage
Thefoldingmechanismonyourtreadmillmakesmovementofthemachineeasierandreducestheamountofstoragespace
necessary.
FoldingtheTreadmill
1.MakesurethatthePowerSwitchisturnedOff,anddisconnectthepowercord.
Neverliftthefrontofthemachineformovingortransport.Rotatingpartscanpinch,resultinginpersonalinjury.
2.Makesurethatthereissafeclearancearoundandonyourtreadmill.Makesurethereisnoobjecttospill
orcauseblockagefromthefullyfoldedposition.
3.Putbothhandsbelowthesupportbarbelowthebackofthewalkingbelt.Liftthewalkingdeckallthe
wayforwardandmakesurethatthehydraulicliftiscorrectlylockedinplace.
Usepropersafetyprecautionsandliftingtechniques.Bendyourkneesandelbows,keepyourbackstraightand
pullupequallywithbotharms.
Donotusethewalkingbeltorrearrollertoliftthetreadmill.Thesepartsdonotlockinplace.Injurytoyouordamage
tothemachinecanoccur.
