Front Panel Components Front Panel Components The following illustration shows the function of the front panel LED status indicators on the DPX2203 and EPX2203 and the optional battery pack. Note: The model shown here is the DPX2203. The EPX2203 does not attach to a battery pack. 1 REPLACE BATTERY—Illuminates to indicate that the battery could not be fully charged. While the battery may be able to provide some backup power, it should be replaced to restore maximum capacity.
Front Panel Components Notes: After the cable modem is successfully registered on the network, the POWER LED (LED 10) and the CABLE LED (LED 7) illuminate continuously to indicate that the cable modem is active and fully operational. If the optional battery pack is installed, the POWER LED (LED 10) and the CABLE LED (LED 7) blink periodically and the other lights go out to indicate that the modem is running on battery power.

Then, set the modem on the battery pack and carefully, but firmly, slide the modem into the battery pack connector. 6 Slide the switch to the Lock position. If it is difficult to slide the latch to the locked position, firmly slide the modem once again into the battery pack to fully seat the connector. Then slide the switch to the Lock position.
