Keeping Clean
To make clean up easier, cover your counter or table with newspaper to catch spills.
Make sure all equipment is very clean before you use it. Any dirt or dust may cause
unwanted crystallization.
If you accidentally spill colored solution on your clothes, immediately wash it with hot
water and heavy duty detergent. Better yet, wear an apron or old T-shirt while making
your crystals.
Wash and dry your equipment before and after using.
For best results, when measuring different ingredients, rinse and dry the measuring
equipment between each item.
Reseal each package of crystal powder after using it.
Crystal Growing
Sometimes crystals can take a long time to grow. If you don’t see enough growth,
try moving the growing container to a warmer and drier place.
An adult helper must be present
when using the stove.
