SAFETY INFORMATION WARNING • To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock or personal injury, wire connectors provided with this light fixture are designed to accept only one 12-gauge house wire and two lead wires from the light fixture. If your house wire is larger than 12-gauge or there is more than one house wire to connect to the corresponding fixture lead wires, consult an electrician for the proper size wire connectors to use.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 1. Turn off circuit breakers and wall switch to the fixture supply line leads. 1 DANGER: Failure to disconnect power supply prior to installation may result in serious injury or death. 2. Remove existing fixture and disconnect all electrical wiring. 2 3. Remove mounting plate (C) from canopy (E) by removing mounting plate screws (D) from the edges of the canopy (E). 3 Save mounting plate screws (D) for later use.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 4. Attach mounting plate (C) to outlet box (not included) using existing washers and outlet box screws or the machine screws (BB). 4 Outlet Box NOTE: If the outlet box screws required for your outlet box are of a different size than the machine screws (BB), consult a licensed electrician before proceeding. C Tighten machine screws (BB) to secure mounting plate (C).
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 6. Attach one connecting chain link (CC) and chain (F) to both fixture loops at the top of the rods (B). 6 F Determine the hanging length that is best for the fixture (A). NOTE: Use pliers, a flathead screwdriver and a soft cloth (all not included) to open the chain link at length chosen above. Remove any extra chain at this time. F F CC CC Feed wiring through corresponding chain (F) to pre-determined length.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 8a. Prepare wire by stripping 3/4 in. of insulation from wire ends using wire strippers (not included). Tie wire into a knot. 8a 8b. Connect RIBBED wire from the fixture (A) to WHITE wire from outlet box using existing wire connector or wire connector (AA). Connect the SMOOTH wire from the fixture (A) to BLACK wire from outlet box using existing wire connector or wire connector (AA).
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 10. Carefully arrange excess wiring and wire connectors (AA) within outlet box. 10 AA C Raise canopy (E) toward ceiling and align holes in edge of canopy (E) with holes on edge of mounting plate (C). Attach canopy (E) to mounting plate (C) using the mounting plate screws (D) previously removed (Step 3, Page 5). E D D 11. Install five medium-base 40-watt max. bulbs (not included) or CFL/LED equivalent.
WARRANTY The distributor warrants all of its lighting fixtures against defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of purchase. If within this period the product is found to be defective, take a copy of the bill of sale as a proof of purchase and the product in its original carton to the place of purchase. The distributor will, at its option, repair, replace or refund the purchase price to the consumer.
