FEATURES KNOW YOUR LAWN MOWER See figure 1 The safe use of this product requires an understanding of the information on the product and in this owner’s manual as well as a knowledge of the project you are attempting. Before use of this product, familiarize yourself with all operating features and safety rules. BATTERY METER/ POWER INDICATOR The battery meter measures the amount of charge remaining in the battery.
ASSEMBLY UNFOLDING AND ADJUSTING HANDLE ASSEMBLY See figure 2-4 WARNING: Folding or unfolding the handle improperly can damage the cables, causing an unsafe operating condition. • Do not damage the cables when folding or unfolding the handle. • If a cable is damaged, contact an Authorized Service Dealer. WARNING: Do not attempt to start the mower until the handle has been locked at one of the two preset operating positions.
ASSEMBLY INSTALLING THE GRASS CATCHER BAG (For Rear Bagging Operation) See figure 5 • • • Fig. 6 Lift the rear discharge door (1). Lift the grass catcher by its handle (2) and place under the rear discharge door so that the hooks (3) on the grass catcher are seated on the door rod (4). Release the rear discharge door. When installed correctly, the hooks on the grass catcher will extend through the openings on the rear discharge door. 1 Fig.
ASSEMBLY INSTALLING/REMOVING BATTERY PACK See figure 8 This product will accept Scotts 62V lithium-ion battery packs only. To Install Battery Pack For complete charging instructions, refer to the Owner‘s manuals for your battery pack and charger models. • • • • Lift and hold up the battery cover (1). Align the battery (2) with the mower’s battery port. Make sure the battery release button (3) snaps in place and that battery is fully seated and secure in the mower before beginning operation.
OPERATION STARTING/STOPPING THE MOWER See figure 9-10 VARIABLE-SPEED SELF-PROPEL SYSTEM See figure 10 To start the mower: • Raise the battery cover (1). • Install battery pack (2). • Insert the switch key (3) into the slot beside the battery port. • Lower the battery cover (1). The mower is equipped with variable-speed self-propel capability. This system is independent of the blade On-Off switch; it is not dependent on blade rotation.
OPERATION LED LIGHTS See figure 11-12 The LED lights (1) are located at the front of the motor cover. The lights can only be illuminated when the battery and switch key are installed in the mower and when the bail wire is engaged. 1 LED lights Battery status All LED are lit Full charged (75-100%) LED 1, 2, 3 are lit Battery is 50%-75% charged LED 1, 2 are lit Battery is 25%-50% charged LED 1 is lit Battery is empty (0%-25%). OPERATION MOWING TIPS MULCHING TIPS • NOTE: Inspect the area where the mower is to be used, and remove all stones, sticks, wire, bones, and other debris that might be thrown by the rotating blade. • • • • • Make sure the lawn is clear of stones, sticks, wires and other objects that could damage the lawn mower blades or motor. Such objects could be accidentally thrown by the mower in any direction and cause serious personal injury to the operator and others.
CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK Charge the battery pack only with the charger provided. Allow at least 90 minutes of charge time for 2.5Ah battery or 140 minutes of charge time for 4Ah battery or 180 minutes of charge time for 5Ah battery before initial use of the mower. When fully charged, the battery can be safely stored in temperatures down to -4 degrees F (-20 degrees C) for a period of up to four weeks, before requiring charging. Fully charge battery pack every 90 days.
MAINTENANCE WARNING: WARNING: When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause product damage. Always protect hands by wearing heavy gloves and/or wrapping the cutting edges of the blade with rags and other material when performing blade maintenance. Failure to heed this warning could result in serious personal injury. WARNING: Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields during power tool operation or when blowing dust.
MAINTENANCE SHARPENING THE BLADE See Figure 17 • For best mowing performance, the mower blade must be kept sharp. A dull blade does not cut grass evenly and overloads the motor. Under normal circumstances, sharpening the blade twice during the mowing season is usually sufficient. However, if your lawn has sandy soil, more frequent sharpening's may be required. • If blade is balanced, it will remain in a horizontal position.
MAINTENANCE STORING THE MOWER WARNING: See Figure 20 • • • • • • • • Remove the switch key and battery, and store in a secure location out of the reach of children. Before storage, wipe any dirt or debris from the battery area. Turn mower on its side and clean grass clippings that have accumulated on the underside of the mower deck. Wipe the mower clean with a dry cloth. Check all nuts, bolts, knobs, screws, fasteners, etc., for tightness. Inspect moving parts for damage, breakage and wear.
TROUBLESHOOTING Problem The mower fails to start. Possible cause Solution The safety key is not inserted in the slot. Insert the safety key. The battery pack is depleted. Charge the battery pack. The battery pack is not attached to the mower. Attach the battery pack to the mower. The battery pack is on the wrong side. Move the battery pack to the correct side of the battery compartment. Battery or mower circuitry is too hot. Allow the battery pack or mower to cool down.

FUNCIONAMIENTO Luces led Vea la figura 11-12 Las luces LED (1) están ubicadas en la parte delantera de la cubierta del motor. Las luces solo se pueden iluminar cuando la batería y la llave del interruptor están instaladas en el cortacésped y cuando el cable de seguridad está conectado.
FUNCIONAMIENTO CONSEJOS PARA CORTAR EL CÉSPED • Asegúrese de que en el área en la que trabajará no haya piedras, palos, alambres o cualquier otro objeto que pueda dañar las cuchillas o el motor de la podadora. CARGA DEL PAQUETE DE BATERÍAS Cargue el paquete de baterías únicamente con el cargador provisto. Permita por lo menos 90 minutos de tiempo de carga para una batería de 2,5 Ah o 140 minutos de tiempo de carga para una batería de 4 Ah o 180 minutos de tiempo de carga para una batería de 5 Ah antes del uso inicial del podadora. El cargador de baterías debe funcionar en temperaturas que oscilen entre los 4 y 40 ºC (39 y 104 ºF). La batería debe cargarse en un lugar fresco y seco.

MANTENIMIENTO • AFILADO DE LA CUCHILLA Vea la figura 17 Si la cuchilla está equilibrada, permanecerá en posición horizontal. Si algún extremo de la cuchilla se cae, afile el lado más pesado hasta que la cuchilla esté equilibrada. Para lograr un desempeño de corte óptimo, la cuchilla de la podadora debe mantenerse afilada. Una cuchilla desafilada no corta el césped uniformemente y sobrecarga el motor.
MANTENIMIENTO GUARDADO DE LA PODADORA Vea la figura 20 • • • • • • • • ADVERTENCIA: Retire la llave de seguridad y la batería, y guárdalas en un lugar seguro fuera del alcance de los niños. Antes de guardar, limpie el polvo o los residuos del área de la batería. Gire la podadora sobre su costado y limpie los recortes de pasto que se acumularon en la parte inferior de la plataforma. Limpie la podadora con un paño seco. Verifique que todos los pernos, tuercas, perillas, tornillos, sujetadores, etc.

Soulevez le sac à herbe par sa poignée (2) et placez-le sous le couvercle d’éjection arrière de manière à ce que les crochets (3) sur le sac soient en place sur la tige de porte (4). Relâchez la porte d'éjection arrière.

UTILISATION Lumières LED Voir la figure 11-12 Les voyants (1) sont situés à l'avant du capot du moteur. Les lumières ne peuvent être allumées que lorsque la batterie et la clé de contact sont installées dans la tondeuse et que le câble de retenue est engagé.
UTILISATION Conseils de tonte • • • • • • Conseils sur le paillage Assurez-vous que la pelouse soit libre de pierres, bâtons, fils et autres objets qui pourraient endommager le moteur ou les lames de la tondeuse. De tels objets pourraient accidentellement être projetés par l'utilisateur dans une direction quelconque et pourraient provoquer des blessures graves à l'utilisateur et à autrui. Pour une pelouse saine, coupez toujours un tiers ou moins de la longueur totale de l'herbe.
CHARGER LA BATTERIE Ne chargez la batterie qu’avec le chargeur fourni. Prévoyez au moins 90 minutes de temps de charge pour une batterie de 2,5 Ah ou 140 minutes pour une batterie de 4Ah ou 180 minutes pour une batterie de 5Ah avant la première utilisation du tondeuse. Lorsqu’elles sont entièrement chargées, les batteries peuvent être stockées de façon sûre à des températures pouvant atteindre –20 °C (-4 °F) pendant quatre semaines avant de devoir être chargées.
MAINTENANCE AVERTISSEMENT : AVERTISSEMENT : N'utilisez que des pièces de rechange identiques lors de l'entretien. L'utilisation de toute autre pièce peut constituer un danger ou endommager le produit. AVERTISSEMENT : Portez toujours des lunettes de sécurité avec des écrans latéraux lors de l'utilisation de l'outil électrique ou lorsque vous soufflez de la poussière. Si l'environnement est poussiéreux, portez toujours un masque antipoussières.
MAINTENANCE AIGUISER LA LAME Voir la figure 17 • La lame de la tondeuse doit être conservée tranchante pour une meilleure performance de l'équipement. Une lame émoussée ne coupera pas la pelouse de manière égale et surchargera le moteur. Dans des circonstances normales, aiguiser la lame deux fois lors de la saison de coupe est amplement suffisant. Cependant, si votre pelouse possède un sol sableux, un aiguisage plus fréquent de la lame peut être requis.
MAINTENANCE ENTREPOSER LA TONDEUSE Voir la figure 20 • • • • • • • • AVERTISSEMENT : Retirer la clé de sécurité et la batterie, et rangez-les dans un endroit sûr, hors de portée des enfants. Avant de ranger le produit, essuyer toute saleté ou tout débris se trouvant dans l’environnement de la pile. SOYEZ EXTRÊMEMENT PRUDENT LORSQUE VOUS PLIEZ LA POIGNÉE. LE CORDON PEUT ÊTRE ENDOMMAGÉ SI PINCÉ ENTRE LES SECTIONS DE LA POIGNÉE, CRÉANT AINSI UN DANGER POUR LA SÉCURITÉ.
DÉPANNAGE Problème La tondeuse ne démarre pas. Cause possible La clé de sécurité n'est pas insérée dans la fente. Insérez la clé de sécurité. La batterie est épuisée. Chargez la batterie. La batterie n’est pas fixée à la tondeuse. Fixez la batterie à la tondeuse. La batterie est du mauvais côté. Placez la batterie du bon côté du compartiment de la batterie. Le circuit de la batterie ou de la tondeuse est trop chaud. Laissez la batterie ou la tondeuse refroidir.
