6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Personal Precautions
ELIMINATE all ignition sources (no smoking, flares, sparks or flames in immediate area). All
equipment used when handling the product must be grounded. Do not attempt to stop leak,
due to danger of explosion Ensure adequate ventilation. Pay attention to flashback. Contents
under pressure.
Environmental Precautions
Use water spray to reduce vapors or divert vapor cloud drift. Avoid allowing water runoff to
contact spilled material. Prevent spreading of vapors through sewers, ventilation systems and
confined areas.
Methods for Containment
If possible, turn leaking containers so that gas escapes rather than liquid. Isolate area until gas
has dispersed.
Methods for Cleaning Up
Do not direct water at spill or source of leak.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling
Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Avoid contact with
eyes. Avoid breathing vapors or mists. Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and sources
of ignition. Contents under pressure. Do not puncture or incinerate cans.
Storage
Keep out of the reach of children. Keep in properly labeled containers. Keep containers tightly
closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Keep in an area equipped with sprinklers

airborne contaminant concentrations. Respiratory protection must be provided in accordance
with current local regulations.
