Using the iBT35 IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT WATERPROOF OPERATION For proper waterproof operation, make sure the waterproof cover on the left side of the unit is completely flush with the unit by pressing along the entire edge of the cover until it is completely and securely in place. water tight • • • • • • • not water tight The unit is IP67 waterproof rated, meaning it is immersible for up to 30 minutes at a depth of 1 meter (3 feet).
Maintenance iBT35 • Place the unit on a level surface away from sources of direct sunlight or excessive heat. • Protect your furniture when placing your unit on a natural wood and lacquered finish. A cloth or other protective material should be placed between it and the furniture. • Clean your unit with a soft cloth moistened only with mild soap and water. Stronger cleaning agents, such as thinner or similar materials can damage the surface of the unit.

Charging the iBT35 For first time use, make sure to fully charge the internal battery for about 8 hours. To charge the unit, connect the included USB charging cable to the USB power jack located on the side of the unit under the waterproof cover and connect the other end to a powered USB port such as on a computer or a USB adaptor connected to a working wall outlet. While charging, the Battery Charge Indicator light on the front of the unit will glow solid red.
Using the iBT35 Turning the Unit ON and OFF 1. Press the Power Button located on top of the unit to turn the unit ON. The green/red battery status and blue Bluetooth status LED indicators on the front of the unit will light and ascending tones will sound. 2. Press the Power Button to turn the unit OFF. Descending tones will sound. Note: if no audio is detected for 5 minutes, the unit will power off automatically to save battery life.
Using the Using Bluetooth: Pairing Your Device iBT35 1. Turn on your Bluetooth-enabled device and turn on Bluetooth capability as described in the device’s user manual. 2. Press the Power Button located on top of the unit to turn the unit ON. The first time the unit is turned on it will enter auto pairing mode: ascending tones will sound and the indicator light on the front of the unit will flash blue while the unit attempts to pair.“iHome iBT35” should appear on your device’s menu.
Using the Pairing with a Different Device iBT35 When you power ON the speaker, it will automatically link with the previously paired Bluetooth device as long as that device is still within range (about 30 feet). To pair with a different device, please follow step 3 on page 5. Playing Audio Via Bluetooth 1. Press the Power Button to turn on the unit. The light on front of the unit will flash blue and ascending tones will sound and the unit will search for a previously paired device.
Using the Using the Speakerphone feature iBT35 NOTE: The unit must be powered on to receive a call. A Bluetooth phone must be linked. 1. When a call is received, playing music is muted to hear the ring tone. Press the Talk Button to answer the call, or press the End Button to ignore it. Troubleshooting Unit doesn’t respond (no power) • • • • Check that all connections are correct and properly plugged in. For internal battery operation, make sure the unit is fully charged. Make sure your device is properly paired with the iBT35. Make sure the Power is ON. Unit doesn’t respond • If the unit appears to be “frozen” or locked up or hasn’t been used in a long time, you may need to reset it.
