P3 Maintenance iBT7 • Place the unit on a level surface away from sources of direct sunlight or excessive heat. • Protect your furniture when placing your unit on a natural wood and lacquered finish. A cloth or other protective material should be placed between it and the furniture. • Clean your unit with a soft cloth moistened only with mild soap and water. Stronger cleaning agents, such as thinner or similar materials can damage the surface of the unit.

P7 Setting Up the Unit To charge the unit and operate the unit on AC power, connect the included AC adaptor to the DC jack located on the side of the unit and connect the other end to a working wall outlet. P8 Using the iBT7 IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT WATERPROOF OPERATION For proper waterproof operation, make sure the waterproof gasket on the left side of the unit is completely flush with the unit by pressing along the entire edge of the gasket until it is completely and securely in place. water tight • • • • • • • not water tight The unit is IP67 waterproof rated, meaning it is immersible for up to 30 minutes at a depth of 1 meter (3 feet).
P9 Charging the Unit Using the 1. To charge the internal battery for portable operation, connect the included AC adaptor to the DC jack located on the side of the unit and connect the other end to a working wall outlet. While charging, the Battery Charge Indicator light on the front of the unit will glow solid red. Once fully charged the light will glow solid green. For first time use, make sure to fully charge the internal battery for about 8 hours.
P10 Using the iBT7 Using Bluetooth: Pairing Your Device 1. Turn on your Bluetooth-enabled device and turn on Bluetooth capability as described in the device’s user manual. 2. Press the Power Button located on top of the unit to turn the unit ON. The first time the unit is turned on it will enter auto pairing mode: ascending tones will sound and the indicator light on the front of the unit will flash blue while the unit attempts to pair.“iHome iBT7” should appear on your device’s menu.
P11 Using the Pairing with a Different Device iBT7 When you power ON the speaker, it will automatically link with the previously paired Bluetooth device as long as that device is still within range (about 30 feet). To pair with a different device, please follow step 3 on page 6. Playing Audio Via Bluetooth 1. Press the Power Button to turn on the unit. The light on front of the unit will flash blue and ascending tones will sound and the unit will search for a previously paired device.

When a call is received, playing music is muted to hear the ring tone. Press the Talk Button to answer the call, or press the End Button to ignore it. P13 Using the Charging Devices via USB Port iBT7 Note: When operating on internal battery, the unit must be powered ON to charge devices via the USB Port. The iBT7 will charge devices when connected to AC power OR when operating on the internal battery (provided the battery has enough charge). To charge devices via USB while operating on the internal battery, we recommend that the unit be fully charged first.

P16 Troubleshooting Unit doesn’t respond (no power) • • • • Check that all connections are correct and properly plugged in. For internal battery operation, make sure the unit is fully charged. Make sure your device is properly paired with the iBT7. Make sure the Power is ON. Unit doesn’t respond • If the unit appears to be “frozen” or locked up or hasn’t been used in a long time, you may need to reset it.

(hereafter referred to as SDI), warrants this product to be free from defects in workmanship and materials, under normal use and conditions, for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase. Should this product fail to function in a satisfactory manner, it is best to first return it to the store where it was originally purchased.
