FUEL AND LUBRICATION
Fueling Procedure
Do not allow anyone to remain on the
craft.
Tie craft securely to the fueling pier.
Have a fire extinguisher close at hand.
Do not insert the spout too far in filler
neck.
Pour fuel slowly so that air can escape
from the tank and prevent fuel flow-
back.
Fill fuel tank to bottom of filler neck.
Do not overfill. Fully tighten fuel tank
cap.
Recommended Fuel
Use regular unleaded gasoline with 87
octane (Ron + Mon)/2 specification.
NOTE: Do not mix oil with fuel except
at engine break-in. Refer to BREAK-IN
PERIOD. Always check injection oil
tank level when refueling.
CAUTION: Never experiment with
other fuels or fuel ratios. Never use
fuel containing more than 10% alco-
hol, (ethanol or methanol). The use
of non-recommended fuel can result
in craft performance deterioration
and damage to critical parts in the
fuel system and engine components.
Recommended Oil
We recommend the use of
BOMBARDIER-ROTAX® Formula
XP-S synthetic injection oil available at
authorized Sea-Doo dealers.
This fully synthetic oil provides out-
standing lubrication and cleanliness,
less friction and wear for greater en-
gine performance and durability.
CAUTION: The 947 engine requires
the use of BOMBARDIER-ROTAX For-
mula XP-S synthetic injection oil (or a
suitable equivalent of synthetic oil).
Oil Injection System
This craft features an oil injection sys-
tem which does not require manual fuel/
oil mixing.
A sufficient amount of injection oil
should be maintained in the reservoir.
NOTE: It is recommended to carry a
1 L of spare injection oil.
WARNING
Follow these safe boating fueling
instructions explicitly.
WARNING
The tank design makes provision
for fuel expansion of about 5%. If
this area is filled, fuel will expand
and may come out through fuel
vent. Always stop the engine be-
fore refueling. Fuel is inflamma-
ble and explosive under certain
conditions. Always work in a well
ventilated area. Do not smoke or
allow open flames or sparks in
the vicinity. Never top off the fuel
tank and leave craft in the sun. As
temperature increases, fuel ex-
pands and might overflow. Al-
ways wipe off any fuel spillage
from the craft.
