Hull
Inspect hull for cracks or damage.
Jet Pump Water Intake
Remove weeds, shells, debris or any-
thing else that could restrict the flow
of water and damage cooling system
or propulsion unit. Clean as necessary.
If any obstruction can not be removed,
refer to an authorized SEA-DOO dealer
for servicing.

Inspect leading edges of the impeller,
if they have nicks or bends performance
will be greatly reduced.
Bilge
Should water be present in the bilge,
tilt the watercraft to the rear and un-
screw drain plugs to completely empty
the bilge.
Secure bilge drain plugs.
Battery
Fuel Tank and Oil Reservoir
With the watercraft horizontal, fill the
fuel tank to specified level.
Check the oil level and refill reservoir
as necessary.
Check fuel tank and oil reservoir retain-
ing straps/fasteners.
Engine Compartment
Steering System
Assisted by another person, check
steering operation for free movement.
When the handlebar is horizontal, the
jet pump nozzle should be in the straight
ahead position. The rear edge of side
vanes (if so equipped) should be
pointing outside of watercraft by ap-
proximately 20°. Ensure the jet pump
nozzle and side vanes (if so equipped)
pivot easily and in the same direction
as the handlebar.
WARNING
Make sure drain plugs are proper-
ly secured prior to launching the
watercraft in water.

WARNING
Verify tightness of battery cables to
their posts and condition of battery
retaining strap(s)/fasteners. Do not
charge or boost battery while in-
stalled.
WARNING
Should any leak or gasoline odor
be present, do not start the engine.
Refer to an authorized SEA-DOO
dealer before use.
WARNING
Check handlebar and correspond-
ing steering nozzle operation be-
fore starting. Never turn handle-
bar while someone is nearby rear
of watercraft. Keep away from
steering moving parts (nozzle, side
vanes, linkage etc.).
