What happens when the band or hub battery is low?
If any component is in low battery the hub will notify the user of this several minutes before the battery
level becomes critical. If a single band is low, it will chirp and blink red.
What happens if two bands alarm at once?
Both bands will flash red and white with audible alarms, indicating both swimmers need help. The hub will
alarm.
Does it float?
Yes, with the black foam sleeves attached. It will allow the user to swim under the water.
How many bands can be connected to a hub? How many hubs work in the same vicinity?
Up to 60 bands can be connected to one hub. Multiple hubs can work within the same aquatic facility .
What happens when swimmers forget to take bands off when they leave the pool?
The swimmer’s band will give a warning to return before the wearer gets too far from the pool. If the
swimmer does not return the hub will alarm.
What are the different swim levels?
There are three: beginner, standard and advanced. The beginner level will alarm after 3 seconds of
submersion. The standard swim level will alarm after 20 seconds of submersion. The advanced will alarm
after 55 seconds of submersion
How long is the warranty?
One year limited warranty with an optional one year extended warranty.
How do I change a bands swim level?
The band swim level can only be changed when placed in the charging port on the Hub. The wearer
cannot change it.
I know it works in a pool but does it work in a lake? Ocean? River?
The system is designed to work in a pool. The bands will alarm in an ocean, lake or river but keep in mind
that in murky water it will be difficult to see the flashing of the LED. Appropriate life saving protocols for
brown water must be used.
Why does SwimSafe use Radio Frequency instead of bluetooth?
SwimSafe uses Radio Frequency Alway On (RFAO) technology to ensure a greater range, reliability and
accuracy than bluetooth.
Is it comfortable?
Yes, it was tested on all levels and ages of swimmers involved in various aquatic activities.
How durable is the band device?
The electronics are encased in a high strength polymer designed for aquatic environment. As a safety
precaution the band will release from the swimmer under high tension.
Will the system shock me or the swimmer?
