System Manual
Linking is the process of connecting the band to the hub so that monitoring of a swimmer can begin. By
linking the band to the hub you are opening communication between the two, if communication is lost a
full alarm will happen.
Step 5:
All bands are preset to our standard level, which will alarm if swimmer is submerged for 20 seconds. To
change the swim level of a band place band in hub charging port and press the swim level button .
The pink light is beginner (3 seconds to alarm), the dark blue light is standard (20 seconds to alarm) and
the light blue light is advanced (55 seconds to alarm) .
*Setting swim level on band can be done with hub plugged in or unplugged from a wall outlet*
More about swim levels, please.
Swim level should be determined by the ability of the swimmer. There are three levels, beginner, standard
and advanced. Beginner/pink light will alarm if swimmer is submerged for 3 seconds, standard/blue light
will alarm if swimmer is submerged for 20 seconds and advanced/light blue will alarm if a swimmer is
submerged for 55 seconds.
Step 6:
Once bands are linked (flashing white light when off hub) and swim level set. Place hub at least 30 inches
off pool deck and at the midpoint of the pool with the hub screen facing the swimmers.
Step 7:
Swimmers may put on the band by clasping it together at the back of their neck (some may need help
from an adult) and begin their swim. If a swim band is too tight around neck add black extender to band.
Step 8:
At the end of use place swim bands on charging tower, power down hub and charge hub with USB cord.
Step 9:
Before using the system, practice, practice, practice. Please refer to our training and troubleshooting
videos online at www.sealswimsafe.com to learn more.
REMEMBER:
1. Critical to safe swimming practices are early and effective swim lessons, vigilant life guarding and
parents, and a safe swimming environment. Master your system and add the SwimSafe
technology as another layer of defense to keep your swimmers safe.
2. Extended breath holding puts swimmers at risk for shallow water blackout and even death, it
should be forbidden. As well as, any sort of horse play to attempt to trigger alerts.
