_I _ORMAL PLAY
I+ Turn on the amplifier and select the input source to
which this unit is connected.
2. Press the POWER switch.
3. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to open the disc tray
and insert the disc.
4. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to close the disc tray.
The inserted disc will automatically rotate for several
seconds while the player reads its track No., playing
time, etc., and then stop displaying the disc's total
number of tracks.
5. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start play.
The play indicator lights.
6. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to temporarily stop
play. The play indicator will flash.
To resume play, press the button again.
7. Press the STOP button to stop play. When the disc
comes to the end of its play, it will automatically stop.
• If the total number of tracks is not displayed after
disc inserting, cheek to make sure you have not
placed the disc upside down, and try to insert the
disc again.
• If play does not begin even after pressing the
PLAY/PAUSE button, press the STOP button, then
operate again for play.
• DIRECT SEARCH SYSTEM
With the player in the stop mode, select the desired start-
ing track No. using the SKIP buttons. The selected track
No. will light in the LIQUID CRYSTAL MULTI DISPLAY.
When the PLAY/PAUSE button is pressed, the play will
begin from the selected track No.
If one of the SKIP buttons is kept pressed in the stop
mode, the track No. displayed will change continuously.
This allows you to select track No. in the forward or re-
verse directions quickly.

When the player _s m the play mode and you wish to
move to a different selection, select the new track No.
by tapping the appropriate SKIP button.
The selected track No. will light, and the play will begin at
that selection.
NOTE:
When one of the SKIP buttons is kept pressed in the
play mode, the track Nos. will change rapidly and the
player will begin at that selection.
Skip search function is also made during pause mode.
• To listen to the selection following that presently
being played:
press the forward SKIP button once.
• To listen to the presently playing track once again:
press the backward SKIP button once.
• To listen to the track previous to the one presently
playing:
press the backward SKIP button twice in succession,

MEMORY SEARCH SYSTEM
The random memory search system searches for the de-
sired selections on the disc in the desired order and
plays them automatically.
1. Insert the disc and start the programming after the
LIQUID CRYSTAL MULTI DISPLAY has displayed
the total number of tracks.
2. First select the desired track Nos. using the SKIP
buttons; pressthe MEMORY button after each selection.
The selected track No. will be lit on the LIQUID
CRYSTAL MULTI DISPLAY and the PROGram
indicator will light.
Example
To select the third track, pressthe forward SKIP button
three times, and then pressthe MEMORY button.
To select the twelfth track in succession, press the
forward SKIP button nine times, followed by the
MEMORY button.
A maximum of 16 selections may be programmed ill
this way.
• If you wish to confirm the programmed selections,
pressthe MEMORY button.
3. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button. The selections are
automatically played in the programmed order.
