TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Carefully re-read the instructions to be sure the compact disc player is being operated properly. Check
the following before you arrange for service.
SYMPTOMS CAUSE
No sound
AC power cord is disconnected from AC
outlet.
Patch cords are disconnected from OUTPUT
jacks of the player or input jacks (AUX,
TAPE, CD, etc.) of amplifier.
Amplifier isnot being operated properly.
"Hum" noise Other electrical equipment is too near to the
player.
Disc tray will not open or close Power is off. (POWER button in released
position.)
Disc tray will come out Disc is placed upside down.
Disc is scratched, warped or dirty.
Inferior or distorted sound Patch cords are misconnected to amplifier.
Output volume of amplifier is too high.
Disc is scratched, warped or dirty.
The player accidentally functions incor- Turn the player off once. After a few second,
