CAPTION mode: By choosing the caption mode, you can watch dramas, movies and news while captioning the dialogues and the contents of news. TEXT mode: By choosing the text mode, you can watch half screen text information if you want.

V-CHIP reads the ratings for programming (except for news and sports programs, unedited movies on premium cable channels, and Emergency Broadcast System signals), then denies access to programming if the program’s rating meets the limitations you select. In this case, “PROTECTED PROGRAM by ...” message appears on the TV screen.

Do not use poor quality or damaged tapes. PRECAUTIONS INSERTING A CASSETTE • Avoid moisture. Moisture condensation may occur Insert the cassette in the direction as shown. Push in gently, but continuously, on the center-back of the cassette until it is drawn into the TV/DVD/VHS. The TV/DVD/VHS will automatically turn on.

NOTES: • If you press the TV/VCR side PLAY button in the DVD mode, you can start the VCR playback.

AUTO REPEAT PLAY The TV/DVD/VHS has the auto repeat function that allows you to repeat a tape indefinitely without touching the PLAY button. ALL REPEAT: Repeat playback from the beginning to the end of the tape. BLANK REPEAT: Repeat playback from the beginning to a blank part, which is blank for more than 10 seconds.

ZERO RETURN This function allows you to search easily a beginning point that you want to review by rewinding or fast forwarding. NOTE: Zero Return WILL NOT work on a blank tape or a blank portion of a tape. 1 Reset the counter to 0:00:00 Insert a tape. 2 Select “TIME SEARCH” mode 3 Begin recording or playback Press the RECORD or PLAY button.

It will also be marked at the starting point of Timer recording and OTR. • The index mark will not be recorded if the PAUSE button is pressed and released during recording.

(If necessary, rewind or fast forward the tape to the point at which you want to begin recording.) NOTES: • This function CANNOT be done from the remote control.

[DVD] Data on a DVD is divided into sections called "titles", and then into subsections called "chapters", each of which is given a title or chapter number. Playback conditions are preset on some DVD video discs, and these playback conditions take priority over user operations on this player.

(Sound remains muted.) 1 Press the SEARCH MODE button twice. ¡Slow motion mode will be activated. ¡Pressing and holding the g button for more than 1 second cycles the playback speed in three steps. Select an appropriate speed while referring to the speed indication on the screen.

The DVD player has a function which allows you to select the desired language for subtitles.
