Use and Care Manual

A & B Home Use and Care Manual
The presence of furniture in the house makes your house a substantial and functional unit.
The wide range and further variety of each furniture category gives meaning to your home
décor and makes the spaces well equipped and stocked.
By keeping your furniture clean and tuned-up on a regular basis, you will extend the life
of your investment. This upkeep will also help you recoup some costs by allowing you to sell
pieces for a fair price when you no longer need them.
Depending on how deep the stain is, either apply the product pure or diluted in five parts
water (it might be necessary to scrub as you apply). Wait 10 to 20 minutes. Then scrub with
water and rinse until the water runs clear.
Although dirt cannot penetrate into the ceramic material, it is necessary to remove it from
the surface in order to prevent the build-up of surface grease and contaminants. Day to day
maintenance of ceramic furniture can be performed by simply wiping down using a clean,
microfiber cloth and warm, diluted, neutral detergent to remove surface spillages. Spillages
of wine, coffee, ketchup, oils and acidic substances such as vinegar should be wiped clean
immediately.
If your furniture has stainless steel, it is usually very easy to take care of. Because it is
scratch and stain resistant, you can wipe away any spills with a damp cloth or using mild
soap. You don't have to worry about long term staining or rusting on stainless steel.
On metals like aluminum or chrome, you have to be careful about scratching the surfaces.
Using a soft, damp cloth with mild soap can remove spills. Don’t use scouring pads or
sponges as these can easily scratch the surface of chrome or aluminum and take away its
luster.
To keep wood furniture in its best shape, maintain frequent dusting. Dust can cause
airborne deposits that eventually build up in a filmy layer and scratch the surface of wood
furniture. Leaving dust on your furniture can also trigger allergies or be harmful to those
with asthma. To properly dust furniture, capture and remove dust as opposed to spreading
it around the surface. To avoid scattering the dust into the air, where it’ll float until landing
back on furniture surfaces, very lightly dampen a microfiber cloth before wiping down.
Remove excess moisture with a dry terry towel.
