7.2 Retrieving measurement data
The measuring data is stored in the memory of the device. It can be read out using the
computer or another reading device (e.g. Reader-3).
If measuring data have been transmitted from the device to a FTP server, it can be
downloaded from there to your computer.
7.2.1 Reading out data using the PC/Laptop
You can read out the measuring data from the device using your computer with
SebaDataView-3 software.
The device must be switched on and a connection between the device and the
computer is needed.
For a radio link
a radio interface must be connected to the computer (e.g. Log RI),
the device must be within the computer’s wireless range.
Proceed as follows:

Select the relevant device in the directory tree of the SDV-3 software.
2 In the menu bar in the segment Measurement data, click on Read.
3 Select RF from the appearing context menu.
Result: The connection between the computer and the device is established and
the data readout starts. In a small window the progress of the data transfer is
displayed.
As soon as the transfer is completed, a new window opens and the measuring
data is displayed.
7.2.2 Downloading data from a FTP server
Depending on the device's configuration the measuring data may have been transmitted
to a FTP server. From there it can be downloaded to your computer.
The following requirements must be met:
computer with SDV-3 software and Internet access
the FTP access data must have been entered and stored in the database of the
software (see page 39)
Proceed as follows to download data from the FTP server:
