5 Measuring
5-1. Measuring in Ambient Light Mode
Continuous light like natural light (sunlight) as well as tungsten lamps and uorescent
lamps are measured in Ambient Light Mode.
The following are the measuring methods in the Ambient Light Mode.

T (shutter speed) priority

F (stop) priority

Shutter speed and f-stop (aperture) values can be displayed in full, ½ and 1/3 stop increments in Custom Setting (See
P55 for details.)

After taking a measurement, changing a T or F setting value will also change the measured value.

Touching the Average/ΔEV button ( ) at the bottom of the screen activates the Contrast Function. (See P50 for
details.)

e Analog Scale display will change according to Measuring Mode, Incident/Reected and Mid-Tone mode selected
as well as “Set Analog Scale” in Menu list (See P19 and P53 for details.)

5-1-1. T (Shutter Speed) Priority Mode
1. Touch the Measuring mode icon to open the
Measuring Mode Selection Screen, then touch
the
icon to select T Priority Mode and
return the screen view to Measuring screen. (See
P25 for details.)
2. Set the ISO sensitivity value on the ISO icon.
3. Set the shutter speed on the T icon.
4. Press the Measuring button

on the side of
meter.
Release the Measuring button
8
to
complete the measurement. The measured
f-stop (aperture) value at that time will be
displayed.
While pressing the Measuring button
8
, the
meter measures continuously until it is
released.
