Installing the completed wall bed

On site material

Wall Cabinets

Wall cabinets must be securely fastened to a structural wall that is plumb and square to the ﬂoor.

Provide a cut away at the baseboard to insure a ght ﬁt of the cabinet to the wall.

Your local or State government may require installaon to be completed by a licensed contractor.

Installaon must comply to local and State building codes that may apply.

Conﬁrm that inside opening width of the cabinet to receive the bed plaorm is EXACTLY 60mm + 1/32” ‐ 0” wider than the outside

width of the bed frame including the mechanism if mounted exposed

Bed Plaorm

Make all assembly connecons and adjustments with the plaorm at

15° from vercal !

Li the foot of the plaorm above the head of the plaorm and lower the intro

the cabinet and engage the square “saddle” of the pivot mount

plate. The door panel must pass in front of and under the mount

plate saddle.

Li and close the plaorm door. The open the plaorm completely

to insure there is no obstrucon of moon. Turn and ghten the

handles to take up any slack by hand. Both sides must be equally ght. Use NO

Adjust the door reveals by adjusng the M8 X 30mm Hex Head Cap Screw in the square axles at the mount plate saddle with a 6mm Hex Wrench.

Install the maress in or on the bed frame plaorm.

Li the door plaorm to 15° from closed, (about 24” open at the top) and adjust

To Uninstall reverse the installaon sequence.

Adjusng the Selby Wall Bed

The Patented Pardo counter balance mechanism is designed to funcon in a speciﬁc weight range. The total weight of the plaorm, bed frame

and maress must be within the design minimum and maximum limits of the mechanism to perform properly.

Do Not Aempt to adjust the tension on the Pardo mechanism with the plaorm door in the full open posion!

 With the wall cabinet secured to a permanent structural wall you may start the adjustment procedure.

 Move plaorm door to an approximate 15° angle from vercal (about 24” opening at the top) and ghten by hand both the le and the righ

tension handles untril they no longer turn without force. ‐See Next Page ‐

Right and le mechanism are now both evenly adjusted and balanced and that the springs are uniformly engaged. Ma ress Must be in Place to adjust Tension  With the pla orm at 15° from ver cal use a 24MM socket and wrench to SEQUENTIALLY ghten both mecha‐ nisms an equal number of turns in mul ples of 8 to 10 strokes at a me. (The bed frame will obstruct full turns) Tighten one side and then the other to maintain equal balance.
