The "Extras" menu contains the optional "Sense Dictionary", "Excel Viewer" and
"Online DAISY".
The "Utilities" menu contains the "Calculator", “BrailleSense Math”, "Display time
and Date", "Display Compass Heading", "Wake Up Alarm", "Stopwatch",
"Terminal for Screen reader", "Display Network Status", "Display Power status",
"Format", "Sleep Timer" and "Upgrade BrailleSense Firmware".
The "Settings" menu contains "Set Time and Date", "Setup Internet", "Bluetooth
Manager", “Menu Manager”, "Backup/Restore Settings", "Change device
Name", “Quick Start Guide”, "Password Protection", "Initialize BrailleSense
Options”, “Voice options”, "BrailleSense Global Options", “Android Backup and
reset” and “Android System Settings”.
The "Help" item opens a navigable version of the BrailleSense User Manual.
The "Play Store" item opens the Google Play Store where you can search for
and download native Android apps.
The "All Apps" menu displays a list of all native Android apps installed on the
unit. When the unit ships, this list contains stock Android apps and other Google
basics like Docs, Sheets and Slides.
The “Information” dialog provides the copyright and version of the BrailleSense
6, as well as the operating system version, the version of the BrailleSense 6
firmware, and other useful items such as Mac address and Key number. When
the "information" dialog is open, you can save the information about the
BrailleSense 6 by pressing "tab (Space-4-5 or F3)", to navigate to the "Save"
button and press "Enter". The unit displays "Successfully saved", and returns
you to the "Save" button. The saved file is named "bs-information.txt", and is
stored in "flashdisk" for easy access.
