OPERATING THE COFFEEMAKER
1) Fill the glass kettle 5 with the required amount of water. The water level must reach at least the
minimum water level mark 1/MIN (i.e. 1 cup of water) and must not go above the maximum water
level mark, i.e. 12 cups of water (1 cup = 125 ml). Open the lid 1 and pour the contents of the
kettle into the water tank 2.
Attention:
Only fill the water tank with cold drinking water. Do not use hot water.
The water tank has a maximum capacity of 1.5 litres of water.
The amount of brewed coffee will always be less than the amount of water you poured into the
water tank. During the coffee brewing process, approximately 10% of the water is absorbed by
the ground coffee.
2) Place the permanent filter or a disposable paper filter size no. 4 into the filter holder 9.
3) Pour ground coffee into the filter. Recommended dosage: 7 g of ground coffee per cup.
4) Shut the lid 1 and make sure that it is properly closed.
5) If you wish to brew a stronger coffee, turn the aroma regulator 8 anticlockwise. For weaker
coffee, turn the regulator 8 in the opposite direction.
6) Place the glass kettle 5 on the hotplate 6 and start the coffeemaker by pressing the power switch 7.
The red indicator light will be lit.
7) Once the entire batch of coffee has finished brewing, wait approximately 1 minute for the drip
process to complete fully. Now the coffee can be served.
8) If you wish to serve the coffee later, leave the kettle on the hotplate. The hotplate will keep the coffee
at an optimal serving temperature for 40 minutes, then the coffeemaker will turn off automatically.
9) Once you have emptied the kettle, put it back on the hotplate and turn the coffeemaker off by
pressing the power switch. The red indicator light will turn off.
10) Allow the coffeemaker to cool down for at least 10 minutes before using it again.
Warning:
If you do not allow the coffeemaker to cool down, the water could overheat and result in
subsequent scalding by the escaping steam.
11) Before using the coffeemaker again, remove the coffee grounds and wash the permanent filter 0
or remove the paper filter together with the coffee grounds and dispose of it together with normal
household waste. Rinse the filter holder 9 and kettle 5 under running water. Dry it and put it
back in its place.
12) If you will not be using the coffeemaker, disconnect the power cord from the el. power socket.
DRIP-STOP FUNCTION
The Drip-Stop function will allow you to serve coffee before the end of the drip process.
1) Take the kettle out of the coffeemaker once approximately 4 cups of coffee have been brewed. The
Drip-Stop shut-off valve will be activated and coffee will stop dripping.
2) Serve the required amount of coffee and place the kettle back on the hotplate within 1 minute of
taking it out to avoid the filter from overfilling with hot water.
3) When the kettle is placed back on to the hotplate, the drip process will resume automatically.
Note:
Coffee served prior to the completion of the drip process may taste differently to the coffee
served at the end of the drip process.
