Instructions for 2.8K Temperature Probe in Glass Bead Vial (FGD-0107)
This product contains a 2.8K temperature probe encased in a sealed plastic bottle surrounded by
small glass beads. It is designed for use in refrigerators and freezers to slow the rate of temperature
change, thereby reducing potential false alarms due to defrost cycles or doors opening and closing.
The probe comes with 12’ of 24 gauge wire.
Instructions for Models 400, 800, 1104, 1108, 1400, 1800, 2800, FarmSitter, and StationSitter
The probe may be connected to any available input terminal. Refer to your user’s manual for
configuration and programming. To connect the probe:
1. Remove any existing wiring or sensors (including local thermistor) from the input terminal.
2. Attach wire from the weatherproof temperature probe to the input terminal and ground
respectively.
Instructions for Express II, Sensaphone 2000, and WEB600
The probe may be connected to any available input terminal. Refer to your user’s manual for
configuration and programming. To connect the probe:
1. Remove any existing wiring or sensors from the input terminal.
2. Place the corresponding input shunt in the ‘a’ position for Express II, or the TMP/DRY
position for the 2000.
3. Attach wire from the weatherproof temperature probe to to the input terminal and ground
respectively.
4. Program the input type for a 2.8K thermistor in either Fahrenheit or Celsius.
Warning: Do not submerge.
