REMOTE OPERATION
Allows you to access most of the Excursion
®
35178 functions away from the base unit using only the
handset or any touch tone phone when you call the Excursion
®
35178. You can play, repeat, skip, erase,
and stop messages in the message boxes, record an OGM.
USING THE REMOTE OPERATION FUNCTION
There are Two-Ways of using Remote Operation:
1. Handset (Remote Unit), or
2. Calling the Excursion
®
35178 from a Tone Dialing Phone
A. USING THE HANDSET
1. Press the REMOTE button to activate the remote function.
2. The base unit IN USE LED indicator will blink.
B. CALLING THE Excursion®35178 FROM A TONE PHONE
NOTE: The factory preset password for remote operation is “123”.
1. Call the Excursion
®
35178 from a tone dialing phone.
2. While the OGM is playing or during ICM recording, enter your 3 digits password.
3. After a successful password entry , the Remote Operation function is on.
Once you have activated the Remote Operation function either by handset or through a tone dialing phone
to call the Excursion
®
35178. The Excursion
®
35178 will announce the total number of new message(s) in
Message (MSG) box.
REMOTE COMMANDS
A. VOICE HELP MENU
Press the 7 button for Voice Help Menu. remote commands can be entered during playback of the menu.
The following table shows the Voice Help Menu:
B. STOP FUNCTION
Press the 5 button to abort the current function.
