The Original X-14J
W
e introduced the Paragon X-14J, a
classic china painting kiln, in 1965.
That kiln is so reliable that we still
carry it. China painters all know friends who
still fire the legendary X-14J. With the separate
lid and bottom, the kiln is easy to carry to
seminars. Take it with you on vacation.
The infinite control switch includes a
safety pilot light. The X-14J fires to
1700°F on a common household outlet,
making it ideal for apartments.
Inquire about the XX-4 collar, which gives
the X-14J 6½” of extra depth. The XX-4 collar
requires a separate 120 volt, 5-15R circuit. The
XX-4 collar raises maximum temperature to
2000ºF to expand the range of your creativity.

& 14-9PAK
The 14-9 series china painting kilns are 2"

3) 14-9PAK with the analog “set point”
controller: turn a pointer knob to the desired
temperature printed on the switch box. Press
the “on” button. The heating elements remain
powered until the kiln reaches temperature.
Then the kiln shuts off.
The 14-9 series fire to 1700°F on a 120
volt, 20 amp, 5-20R outlet. The lid comes with
a lock-in lid support for easy loading and the
Prop-R-Vent for two stage venting of china
paint fumes. All china painting kilns come
with a heavy duty stand complete with
mar-proof plastic feet.
