8-sided 82-Series
8
2-series Paragon kilns are large
enough for most ceramic projects.
Figured at cost per cubic foot, these
are also our lowest priced hobby kilns.
The 82-series use the same circuit size as
most of our studio kilns. Upgrade to a larger
kiln later without having to install a new
circuit.
We recommend the 3" extra-thick wall
82-series (model numbers ending in -3) for
porcelain and stoneware.
The TnF-82 and TnF-82-3 now feature
the easy-access drop down switch box.
Merely remove two screws, and the box,
hinged at the bottom, opens forward for
quick maintenance. The TnF-82 and
TnF-82-3 feature a top row of 2” high blank
wall bricks. Since the brick is without ele-
ment grooves, it is less susceptible to dam-
age during loading than a grooved brick and
easier to replace.
8-sided 1613-3 Series
The TnF-1613-3 and S-1613-3
extra-thick 3" wall kilns are designed for por-
celain, so they easily fire ceramics, china
paint, decals, gold, and glass casting. The
size is ideal for teachers of china paint or
dolls. The 8-sided, 16 ½” wide and 13 ¼”
deep interior is as tall as standard 7-sided
kilns. The 1613-3 kilns are 43% larger than
the 66-3’s on page 6, yet cost only a few dol
-
lars more.
The TnF-1613-3 and S-1613-3 models
plug into a common 30 amp, 240 volt out
-
let. They use 6400 watts of power, more
watts per cubic foot than conventional kilns.
The extra wattage
helps compensate for aging elements or low
voltage. This extra power is ample for cone
10 and, if desired, rapid heating. Elements
last longer, because the extra wattage and
thicker 3" firebricks help the elements reach
porcelain temperatures without strain.
