Lock/No Lock Mechanism
These SentrySafe fi re fi les
feature a lock/no lock option.
This feature allows you to
decide which drawers, if any,
you want to remain unlocked,
even when the fi le’s lock is
engaged.
Note: the drawer
with the installed lock must
be closed with the lock/no
lock mechanism in the “lock”

lock to engage. This mechanism
is located on the outer right

When the mechanism is in the
“lock” position, as detailed
(Fig. B), the drawer will
lock anytime the fi le lock is
engaged. When the mechanism
is in the “No lock” position,
as detailed (Fig. C), the drawer

Seasonal Installation Recommendation
Shipping this insulated fi re fi le during the extreme temperature seasons can cause moisture condensation
as the insulation materials are slower than the steel exterior surfaces to equalize to room temperature.
Before loading fi re fl es with records, it is recommended that the drawers be opened so the drawer cavities
can be exposed to room temperatures for approximately 24 hours.
