Description
Chart Data
tab
Using PagePlus's Chart Data tab, you can either:
Create your own off-the-page chart data without
the need for a PagePlus table. See Creating charts
from scratch on p. 93.
-or -
Create chart variations (of differing type and
data ranges) from a single PagePlus table. For
more details, see Manipulating chart data (in
PagePlus Help) for more information.
PagePlus
table
If you have a PagePlus publication which already has
a table present, you can base your chart on that table
data, with the option of presenting table and chart
data in unison.
External
spreadsheet
You can paste cell data from Microsoft Excel directly
onto your page or pasteboard. Once in PagePlus, you
can create a chart as you would with a PagePlus table.
If you want to use table data from Microsoft Word, copy and paste
the table into Excel first.
Creating charts from scratch
PagePlus provides the Chart Tool to place a chart onto your page.
Initially a placeholder chart, it can be populated with real chart data
from the Chart Data tab. The tab lets you store and develop your chart
data "off-page" without cluttering up your page design.
The chart can be designed and later modified by using a Chart context
toolbar displayed above your workspace when the chart is selected.
