Advanced non-metallic wood preservative with a fully integrated wood stabilizer.
Built-in water repellency lasts for up to 3 years, helps protect
surface from the detrimental effects of weathering.
AWPA standardized as a complete wood protection system,
combines next-generation fungicides and biocides.
Pressure impregnated process protects and stabilizes
wood, unlike surface applied treatments.
See the Performance Difference
During the treatment process, Ecolife’s
wood stabilizing preservative system is
driven deep into the wood, protecting
and minimizing the effects of
weathering.
The result? Cracking, checking and
splitting is reduced by up to 50%.

Nails, Fasteners and Connectors
For the best results, the use of building-code approved, corrosion-resistant
fasteners and connectors is always required for all exterior wood projects.
Ecolife is less corrosive to fasteners and can be used in direct contact with
aluminum products, even in continuously wet applications.
Hot-dipped galvanized fasteners meeting ASTM A 153, and connectors meeting
ASTM A 653 Class G185 sheet, or better, are recommended.

Examples of Projects
and Applications
Lifetime Limited Warranty*
The Lifetime Limited warranty covers Ecolife treated wood against damage by fungal
decay or termite infestation that makes the wood structurally unfit for the application for
which it was used.
Viance warranty coverage includes Above Ground treated wood framing
members that are critical to the safety and performance of the structure,
including joists and beams.
* See Lifetime Limited Warranty for terms conditions at www.treatedwood.com
Painting and Staining
Can be painted or stained to match any outdoor color scheme. High-quality oil and latex
based paints, stains or water repellent coatings with UV protection are recommended
to enhance the long-term beauty and weathering performance. It is important that the
wood is dry and clean prior to applying any finish coating. Left uncoated and without
UV protection, treated wood will initially weather to a natural brown color, eventually
turning gray following long-term exposure to the sun. Always follow the manufacturer’s
recommendations for proper application of finishes.
Safe Practices When Working With Pressure-Treated Wood
Wear gloves when working with wood.
Wear a dust mask when machining any wood to reduce the inhalation of wood dusts.
Wear appropriate eye protection to reduce the potential for eye injury from wood particles and
flying debris during machining.
Wash hands thoroughly with mild soap and water after working with treated wood.
All sawdust and debris should be cleaned up and disposed of after construction in accordance
with local waste management regulations.
Do not burn pressure-treated wood.
Wash work clothes separately from other household clothing before reuse.
Pressure-treated wood should not be used where it may come into direct or indirect contact with
drinking water, except for uses involving incidental contact such as fresh water docks and bridges.
Do not use pressure-treated wood in circumstances where the preservative may become a
component of food, animal feed or beehives.
Do not use pressure-treated wood for mulch.
Treated wood may be disposed of in landfills or burned in commercial or industrial incinerators or
boilers in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
Look for AWPA U1 and the Quality Inspected CheckMark logo
on the end tags of treated wood you buy as assurance the
preservative has met the tough standards and peer review
of the American Wood Protection Association. AWPA standards
are directly referenced in the IBC and IRC model building codes.
The AWPA is a leading authority on wood preservation science and only accepts
qualified products into the AWPA Standards after meeting a vigorous review of
performance and field-test data.
