Caution: Keep any packaging materials

Every time the appliance is used, the
main body as well as any attachment
tted should be checked thoroughly for
any defects. Should the appliance, for
instance, have been dropped onto a
hard surface, it must not be used any
longer: even invisible damage may have
adverse effects on its operational safety.
Switch off the appliance
- after use,
- in case of any malfunction, and
- before cleaning the appliance.
Do not leave the appliance unattended.
Caution: The trimming blade is
extremely sharp; to prevent injuries,
ensure that at all times during use the
blade does not touch the skin.
Use only original accessory parts; the
use of any attachments other than those
provided by the manufacturer may be
hazardous to the user.
No responsibility will be accepted if
damage results from improper use, or if
these instructions are not complied with.
Battery
Never dispose of old batteries in your
domestic garbage. Old batteries must be
disposed of through local ‘special garbage
collection points’.
During extended periods of non-use,
always remove the battery from its
compartment.
Battery replacement
A decrease in operating speed indicates
that the battery needs to be replaced.
To open the appliance, hold it with the
battery compartment cover facing up,
turn the cover anti-clockwise and lift
it off. Insert a new battery, ensuring
correct polarity.
The trimmer uses a 1.5V type AA/R6
battery. Rechargeable batteries cannot
be used, as their nominal voltage is
only 1.2V.
