How to use your raclette grill
Before rst use
Remove any packing materials completely.
Before using your raclette grill for the  rst time,
clean the cooking top and the mini pans with
a damp cloth.
We recommend you to heat up the appliance
for about 10 minutes, without any food stu s,
to eliminate the “new” smell which may be
emitted when it is  rst switched on. A small
amount of smoke may also be noticeable,
therefore ventilate the room during this
operation. Before the food to be grilled is
placed onto the cooking top, the cooking top
should be lightly greased with a small amount
of oil speci cally intended for frying, which
may be safely heated to high temperatures.
Variable thermostat
If you turn the thermostat knob to the highest
setting, the heating element will permanently
be switched on. If you turn the thermostat
knob to a lower setting, the heating element
will switch o from time to time and then
switch on again.
e indicator light remains lit as long as the
heating element is switched on.
A er use, turn the thermostat knob to its
lowest setting and unplug the appliance from
the mains supply.
Operation
Connect the raclette grill to the mains
supply socket and preheat for about 10
minutes before use.
If required, place the food to be grilled
onto the cooking top.
Put the raclette cheese into the mini pans.
Place the mini pans into the appliance,
underneath the heating element, and leave
them until the cheese has melted.
Warning: Do not place empty mini pans
into the appliance while it is switched on.
When grilling is  nished, unplug the
appliance from the mains supply socket.
How to prepare raclette cheese
Use about 200 to 300 grammes of cheese per
person. Cut the cheese into slices of about
3 to 5 mm thickness and put them into the
mini pans. It is preferable to use the original
raclette cheese. Any other fast melting
cheese, however, will also do. Due to the top
heat, the cheese will melt quite quickly.
