PowerTalk head
mounts neatly on
the GEO Metro
dashboard, using
suction-cup
mount.
• comfortable access to the spinner knob and other push-
buttons.
• good LCD display visibility.
• a location which does not obstruct your vision of the road
while driving.
Be sure to route the PowerTalk control head cable before
installing the head. As before, tuck the cable securely in
place beneath interior body moldings, or under the carpet,
and lead them back to the Rear Compartment where the SG-
2000 transceiver body will be mounted. The size and weight
of the PowerTalk head demand a solid surface for either the
suction-cup or gimbals mounting method. If using the gim-
bals bracket, ensure solid sheet metal backing is available.
Do not drill nor mount the bracket onto polymer panels or
moldings: they will not provide the structural strength and
may fracture over time.
Applying windshield suction-cups. To secure the
PowerTalk control head and its matching speaker in your,
you can take advantage of the remote mounting system (Cat.
No. 04-25). This firmly mounts the control head and speaker
to the vehicles windshield through the use of high-vacuum
suction cups attached to a rigid aluminum plate. Getting just
the right viewing angle on the control head is made possible
