vehicle just idling (campers and mountain-top
operators take note).

High-quality automotive batteries (usually with a
36- to 48-month year guarantee) can be pur-
chased at a bargain at various stores. Considering
their initial cost divided over a several year oper-
ating life, they represent a good value for the
serious mobile operator.
Information Applies
Whether you choose to install a smart solenoid and auxiliary
battery or not, the information presented in this book applies
to your mobile installation. Once again, we cannot overem-
phasize the importance of knowing your vehicle configura-
tion and layout, planning your installation beforehand, and
taking your time. Cutting corners will come back to haunt
you, and may be dangerous.
