3.4.5 Vertical Antennas

A vertical antenna may be

connected to the SG-211 in a

number of ways. Vertical

antennas require an RF

Ground system to function

properly, but this may be

incorporated into the design

of the antenna itself.

A typical vertical antenna is

the GROUND PLANE that

includes radials in the

design. This, and many other vertical antennas use an SO-

239 connector or equivalent to feed the antenna. This type

of antenna can be connected directly to the SG-239 or via

a pigtail as shown below.

Any vertical antenna fed with Coaxial cable can be

connected in this way.
