12 Ethernet test
When testing Ethernet, test program send data to the backend platform through line, backend
receives and settles it, then return to POS. POS displays the test information on DNW window
through COM2.
Connect POS COM2 and PC COM1 as well as line, and start DNW software.
Select the second item and choose 5．ETHERNET in the hardware test menu, then press “Enter” to
begin to test, DNW window will display as follows:
Connect Server ok Connect with server successfully
Receive Data LEN=27 Received data length=27

Note! :
(1) Notice that the two indicators of POS Ethernet interface work normally, the green light should
be always turned on when access into the internet, while the yellow light should flash when sending
and receiving data.
(2) Select 5．ETHERNET and press “Enter” to start the test, if there is no reaction of DNW window,
it means that network is blocked up, please check whether all the connections are ok.
(3) When setting be sure that the machine contains the Ethernet function and the system has been
set up correctly. (Refer to chapter four Parameter setup)
12 Memory test
Select the second item and choose 6．MEMORY in the hardware test menu, and display is as
follows:

13.1 Cache test
Select 1．CACHE TEST and press “Enter” to begin to test, if succeed it will display as follows:

Press “Cancel” and return to its Previous Menu.
13.2 SDRAM test
Select 2．SDRAM TEST 按 and press “Enter” to begin to test, if succeed it will display as follows:
