approved for use in both hot and cold plumbing installations.

PEX pipe was introduced to North America in 1984 based
on European market success, and was tested extensively for
durability and material performance. All USA-installed PEX
pipe must meet the qualification requirements as specified
in the ASTM PEX Standards. SharkBite PEX Pipe can bend
up to six times the outside diameter of the pipe—which
is the maximum bend radius recommended by PEX pipe
manufacturers.
