Theblue“deviceavailable”iconindicatesthattherespectivedevicemaybemounted.ForthisAselectsthedevice(1xleft
click)andthenleft-clicksthebutton“connectdevice”.Theoperatingsystemwillinstallallrequireddriverswhereupon
the device will be displayed in the Windows Explorer. The icon in the user interface will change and now indicate that
theHDDhasbeenlocallyconnected:
AnowcanusetheHDDasifitwasdirectlyconnectedtohiscomputer.
UserBwantstoaccesstheHDDconnectedtotheUSBLANPortfromthelivingroom.Thereforeherunsthealready
installedserversoftware.Theuserinterfacewilldisplaytheserverwithallconnecteddevices:theicon“remote
connection” indicates that the HDD currently is not available; the button “connect device” is disabled.
